Lesion Sterilization and Tissue Repair (LSTR)

At Pearland Pediatric Dentistry, we are proud to offer Lesion Sterilization and Tissue Repair (LSTR) – a dental procedure that treats infected primary teeth with an antibiotic mixture. LSTR is an alternative to root canals and extractions of primary (baby) teeth. Some teeth that may have previously needed to be extracted (removed) due to decay or infection can now be saved with this procedure. It also reduces the need for space maintainers in many cases!
